Several of us involved in Poly or Poly friendly lifestyles found that there was little support for those of us with these relationship preferences. So, we decided to put on a series of seminars designed to give that support in a fun environment.
What kind of support? In the SF bay area there are lots of singles groups designed to hook people up that prefer non-poly lifestyles. When Poly people attend these functions, we must explain to each person we meet what we are about. This can make other singles uncomfortable, and time consuming for the Poly folk. What we intend is to put on events where those involved in a poly lifestyle have a venue available, much like non-poly singles have "single mixers" to go to.
